Although many of the North Frontenac Parklands lake access points and campsites can only be reached by travelling on a Crown road when you ‘Reserve a Campsite’ a portion of the camping permit fee is allocated for road access, thus:
Road Access is included (for one Vehicle) upon reserving a Campsite.
You can find all the information you are looking for by choosing the Lake of our choice and by selecting the Map within to look at where campsites are situated throughout the lake.
There are 184 campsites in North Frontenac Parklands. All sites are interspersed on or near the shores and islands of 11 area lakes. Fewer than 20 sites are nearby designated parking areas accessible by road, the rest are accessible only by water.
Access points on each lake can be reached by road, although most are secondary, tertiary or crown roads where an vehicle with clearance is the better choice of transport—after all this is a backcountry experience!
Camping is permitted at the designated sites only.
